The possibility of the impossibility

Following the brilliant trail of some of my colleagues on the faculty, this afternoon, which is almost overnight, the yellow light of my bedside lamp, I bring one of the biggest highs of metaphysics. Is it possible the impossible? Looks like a full-fledged semantic contradiction, one of those perfect antithesis, which by definition can not be conceived, at least on this plane of reality, provided that we understand both concepts in its most pure (what can and can not make or carry out). Otherwise we could argue that nothing is impossible, honoring the "Impossible is Nothing " of Adidas, and simply impossible to believe that, for now, we can not see realized due to lack of knowledge (who know if within a century or less we will have developed a time machine, or reach the speed of light). When I say impossible I mean impossible in its truest sense and best example what better than a picture:

Penrose Triangle
would be impossible to reproduce so unusual ; creation in three dimensions that limit our reality, apparently, however, is only possible to exceed these limits when we split the logical framework that governs our understanding and usually we get into this abyss wonderful that is art. That is why artists like MC Escher Oscar Reutersvärd or have devoted largely to such compositions. The first, known as "the father of impossible figures", was a pioneer in creations like the one pictured above, with some of the most famous triangle or Penrose stairs, while the second took the impossible geometry to create scenes and worlds to match those of the strangest dreams. Latter are the work of the famous lithograph of stairs weightless ( Relativity ) or hands that draw each other ( Drawing Hands). It is also worth mentioning Jacques Carelman, teacher impossible objects, with inventions such as the well-known for masochists coffee or folding travel anvil.

Around this we were asked in class that we would make an exercise of imagination and we tried to create an impossible object us too, and after many ideas and examples I found my impossible object: a chair double backup ... of course with armrests to ensure the comfort of those who feel. Before this monstrosity of a chair, it occurred to me trying to play with a clock, with a cabinet drawers full of twisted, a violin and finally with a chair, but my initial idea was that instead of a padded seat had a conveyor belt (for those who suffer from anxiety traseril), but to be effective in its ineffectiveness was necessary to introduce a machine perpetual motion, which is, today, impossible.

Letter To Landlord To Vacate Apartment

The creative wall: block (or) s and 600 translations

this morning, to discuss with my friends from the faculty on the topic of blogs, one of them, with his usual sympathy and aplomb, told me what " peculiar "that was my blog about what we had initially requested we did in class. Indeed, mine has shifted some of its original purpose. There is, for now, no reference to the knowledge we have gained in class and not to the work we've done, which is why I plan to include in this post some of the most basic notions seen so far.

Now, having made the first statement, start from the beginning: What is creativity? This question in class made it several times and I doubt if any have been able to give an explanation to consider "appropriate", although there were very good answers. Creativity can be described in different However, depending on which face we put the concept to comment, and therefore I do not dwell on the different meanings quote I found, with the exception of one of Goethe, although not really speak of creativity using a concept commonly associated with the same:
"Originality does not consist in saying new things,
but say them as if they had never been said by another."
One issue we address, once we discussed the concept of creativity, are the creative blocks. No doubt we've all had moments of creative weakness have led to terribly frustrated, but we should not label them as uncreative because give these situations because, as I said before, is a fairly common phenomenon. Creative blocks can usually locate them in three categories: cognitive, emotional and cultural .

  • Cognitive : Also known as intellectual blockages arise at the inability of solving a problem in a peculiar way by bringing together the most common responses, logical or simple give us fewer headaches.
  • Emotional : those resulting from prejudice, insecurity, worthlessness, fear of misunderstanding (moral or intellectual), etc.. In short, those related to the psychology of the subject.
  • Cultural : delve into the social perspective of the individual preconditions for society in terms of the norm. Architects of these locks are the stereotypes of age, sex (which is "right" to make a woman or a man), inhibitory pressure group, etc.
If at any time these blocks make an appearance in your creative work do not despair rest despejaos, persist, creativity is not reserved only for geniuses and geniuses also feel fear.

What Can You Write To Someone Who Had A Baby

land brick

Since 1410 the astronomical clock in Prague has remained standing like motionless witness of time and its consequences in the central plaza of Old Town. That is why recently paid tribute to this wonder of Engineering and two, commemorating his six centuries old, with an audiovisual show that, frankly, can not be described in words, with the permission of the genius of writing. So, for those who're reading this and now feel curiosity for even a glimpse of a glimpse of that show, I will tell you're in luck, because you will have the opportunity to see it all, courtesy of those who have been kind enough to upload the video of the event and broadcast it, something most certainly welcome and many appreciate.
