C ARTEL FILM

Since this is a text that we can afford versatility, I thought of doing what would be the poster for the film. There is, of course, even that "Robert Scott", or at least I do not know any director by that name, so any resemblance to reality is purely coincidental. The poster can see the dark silhouette, Anna Popplewell which could be interpreted to Carolina and the teacher might interpret Morgan Freeman (who can not miss in a movie), the other actors (Colin Firth , Anthony Hopkins , Will Smith and Liv Tyler ) interpret characters who appear in history as such, but may appear in the film.

9 versions: the different faces of the same coin

It ends this year, fired a 2010 full of experiences, some with a simple "Goodbye", others with a "good riddance", a "goodbye" resonates with timbales and there is always a "bye" to those who believe in the eternal recurrence of Nietzsche ... well, "always "As always says no, but some are, the reasons do not really matter. With the new year also started a new section and not a tramp. This is versions 9, paragraph concerning the nine exercises in style that I mentioned in the previous post, that is (for those who have lost here), modification and variation of the same text, changing his narrative style, his person, mode, etc.., until nine variations or do exercises in style, using all means we want and we have. The text, in the end, was proposed by the teacher, but not before passing through the hands of some classmates that modified and reduced to a large extent, the extent of it, because it was too long, at first , to perform their duties. That I will here because the original text from which emerge the various versions, then this entry will make the first one, which I've been working on recently. Without much else to say my farewell, and wish you all a happy new year, I was not choking the grapes and, if possible, tonight shine with a special glow.

T EXT ORIGINAL
A dark figure crossed the park. He carried an old-looking book. He put in a bank. The force of the wind caused it to open and pass the pages. At the time it closed, one of them was bent.

the morning, a young woman picked up the book. Called Carolina and was en route to school.
When the teacher taught class, the book fell to the ground and struck him. He opened it and, to his surprise, the sheets were blank. It turned out that the latter was bent with single words without apparent meaning.

Students wondered why it was empty and what was the meaning of his existence. Carolina suggested that, by failing to write any, invent a story through the sentences of each one of them. At the end of classes and this time with half-written book, Carolina saw a tree that resultó llamativo.

I could see how it opened the eyes of that creature. Members took a deep breath and shook with a convulsive shudder.
(Frankenstein, Chapter 5)

So, on this December night I set out to explain how to revive a corpse. However, there recurirré to galvanism or any other method, simple or complex, that requires prior scientific knowledge. All you need for my "macabre" experiment is an idea and a pencil (or other instrument that meets the same function) and the participation of a few people were willing to collaborate. I understand that, at first, this proposal did not attract many and may even disgusts so many, but not what you imagine any of them, as some (those to which I could not cheat) be able to intuit. Damas and gentlemen, I speak of an exquisite corpse , a Frankenstein monster particular creative heritage of surrealism and immediate picture of our subconscious.

is a technique (although it could be defined as a set) consisting of the juxtaposition of ideas and images unconscious for generate a story or drawing. In this way someone would start with a sequence, possibly not thoughtful, and would lead to the next person to continue right where his predecessor left him to continue with the membership, and so on. The result is, at worst, amazing, fun and certainly unique, as a good salad is subconscious. It is important, however, noted before the person in whose hand is to continue the story can not only read the last sentence written, at least if you want a truly unusual manuscript with multiple facets, themes and even changes gender of the characters. In the case of a drawing as it happens, the participant can only see the last string added to achieve an extraordinary composition.
The cadavre exquis receives its name from the phrase exquis boira cadavre Le nouveau vin you (the exquisite corpse will drink the wine again) that was included in the first session of play between the artists of French Surrealism, and since then the technique has been exported to different areas, in addition to writing, such as comic or cinema, one of the Recent examples the campaign carried out by the director Ridley Scott through Youtube to Kevin McDonald's film, Life in a Day , (Life in a day), made from the videos Internet recorded the July 24, 2010, forming a large collection of different times of day around the world. Tim Burton also recently launched an exquisite corpse via Twitter centered character whose start Stainboy said
Stainboy, using his obvious experience, was called to investigate a mysterious sticky substance that glows in the floor of the gallery .. .

Unfortunately the deadline to participate ended Dec. 6, but you can read the full story (in English, of course) from this page: http://burtonstory.com/connect.php

In class also decided to test this curious technique which resulted in the following:

night was a bit eerie, everything was afraid and the dog would not stop shaking. The stunted tree branches were broken with ease, while a dense fog was forming around me. The cold numbed my muscles and my ideas and then I saw the face of a lion, but what mattered to me was not the destination but the journey. In the meantime I found a place to stay was a joke. Branching avenues as I walked away and thought about what I had said before the bird is the key ... The bird is the key, if you lose sight of anyone who will not guide you. For this I lost my best friend in the war. So I went running into people and suddenly I saw something that puzzled me. A man to pine surrounded by pigeons. Those around him chirping and organizing such a scandal to tear his eyes, but he knew he would not make it, as it had glass eyes. So I stole the sharingan because it was very typical of his family. My family is from a very early period. I brought one of my trips to the past. I was afraid, was the first time traveling to that time but was accompanied by her, so she was quiet. A strange feeling came over her be and not know why, but he went to the station with empty hands, and aimlessly, just go. He put his colored pencils and watercolors in the suitcase and started walking, did not weigh much but had trouble pulling the suitcase, as if he had been a thousand stones inside. Nevertheless I decided it I did not mind: what could stand getting fired because I was happy at his side, his smile, his voice so warm, loved him and nothing mattered. It was in that momentary peak was feeling sentimental when he faced the truth that would not believe. A hour and believed in everything, and then yes I could take what I cast everyone forever and ever.

What Do You Say To Someone Who Just Had A Baby

Exquisite Corpse 99 ways to tell a story

base
Matt Madden History

Again time, as fleeting as always, has played me. It was high time to continue with this project and resume the collection and synthesis of some of the topics covered in class, and update this a bit, missing him or her. I say in my defense, despite being a little late compared to the last we've seen, yes I have collected material for future entries, despite its lack of direct relationship with the kinds of creativity methods, it content to those who enjoy the creation ( or recreation) creative. For now I will focus on the most important notions of the subject, starting with a book called 99 style exercises.

Variation in honor of the horror comic books of the years 70/80
Its author is the renowned illustrator and cartoonist Matt Madden , and it shows the different and diverse ways of telling the same story. Through the comics, Madden exposes us a brief history, simple and concise transformed by different narrative resources at its disposal, to be among some of the changes from the viewpoint of the narrative, the subject of history, style, dialogues, etc. However, even being original in form, the idea was used by the French poet and novelist, Raymond Queneau, in his style exercises, in which, as in the book Madden, proposes a fairly trivial story and subjected to multiple variations, but with the difference that in this case, all are made from a text, instead of the comic or illustration.

Presented both authors, we are given the task of writing a story, the same style as that of Queneau and Madden, on which we could implement necessary modifications to generate about nine alternatives to the story, using every way we wanted. After thinking for a while, and trying to get my story is not unlike any exhibited in class, I wrote the fragment that you have a little lower. Although you may not have much in common with some of my colleagues, there is an element which, incidentally, and referring to the first words of this entry, persists in almost all who heard or I have the privilege of reading : time.
A person leaves home peacefully with the intention of arriving on time for an appointment. Walk out the door you realize that you forgot the gloves in cold weather and since decided to enter again to take them. Once inside the house, and after donning gloves, hears the phone rings. Somewhat annoyed because of events that will make me late for the meeting, pick up the phone and answered vehemently. Across the phone answers a friendly voice that entertains you with something of a woman. The individual, despite the short time available, listens, though denoting a certain impatience in his answers succinct and lively attitude. After the conversation quickly hangs up and runs to the front door open and close it then rapidly. Leaving is caught by a cat that hisses (the animal to be surprised too), and falls to the ground because startle while you hear the phone ring again through the front door. Not expected to get away from your home or arrive on time wherever he went.

Autism Puzzle Piece Symbol

The possibility of the impossibility

Following the brilliant trail of some of my colleagues on the faculty, this afternoon, which is almost overnight, the yellow light of my bedside lamp, I bring one of the biggest highs of metaphysics. Is it possible the impossible? Looks like a full-fledged semantic contradiction, one of those perfect antithesis, which by definition can not be conceived, at least on this plane of reality, provided that we understand both concepts in its most pure (what can and can not make or carry out). Otherwise we could argue that nothing is impossible, honoring the "Impossible is Nothing " of Adidas, and simply impossible to believe that, for now, we can not see realized due to lack of knowledge (who know if within a century or less we will have developed a time machine, or reach the speed of light). When I say impossible I mean impossible in its truest sense and best example what better than a picture:

Penrose Triangle
would be impossible to reproduce so unusual ; creation in three dimensions that limit our reality, apparently, however, is only possible to exceed these limits when we split the logical framework that governs our understanding and usually we get into this abyss wonderful that is art. That is why artists like MC Escher Oscar Reutersvärd or have devoted largely to such compositions. The first, known as "the father of impossible figures", was a pioneer in creations like the one pictured above, with some of the most famous triangle or Penrose stairs, while the second took the impossible geometry to create scenes and worlds to match those of the strangest dreams. Latter are the work of the famous lithograph of stairs weightless ( Relativity ) or hands that draw each other ( Drawing Hands). It is also worth mentioning Jacques Carelman, teacher impossible objects, with inventions such as the well-known for masochists coffee or folding travel anvil.

Around this we were asked in class that we would make an exercise of imagination and we tried to create an impossible object us too, and after many ideas and examples I found my impossible object: a chair double backup ... of course with armrests to ensure the comfort of those who feel. Before this monstrosity of a chair, it occurred to me trying to play with a clock, with a cabinet drawers full of twisted, a violin and finally with a chair, but my initial idea was that instead of a padded seat had a conveyor belt (for those who suffer from anxiety traseril), but to be effective in its ineffectiveness was necessary to introduce a machine perpetual motion, which is, today, impossible.

Letter To Landlord To Vacate Apartment

The creative wall: block (or) s and 600 translations

this morning, to discuss with my friends from the faculty on the topic of blogs, one of them, with his usual sympathy and aplomb, told me what " peculiar "that was my blog about what we had initially requested we did in class. Indeed, mine has shifted some of its original purpose. There is, for now, no reference to the knowledge we have gained in class and not to the work we've done, which is why I plan to include in this post some of the most basic notions seen so far.

Now, having made the first statement, start from the beginning: What is creativity? This question in class made it several times and I doubt if any have been able to give an explanation to consider "appropriate", although there were very good answers. Creativity can be described in different However, depending on which face we put the concept to comment, and therefore I do not dwell on the different meanings quote I found, with the exception of one of Goethe, although not really speak of creativity using a concept commonly associated with the same:
"Originality does not consist in saying new things,
but say them as if they had never been said by another."
One issue we address, once we discussed the concept of creativity, are the creative blocks. No doubt we've all had moments of creative weakness have led to terribly frustrated, but we should not label them as uncreative because give these situations because, as I said before, is a fairly common phenomenon. Creative blocks can usually locate them in three categories: cognitive, emotional and cultural .

  • Cognitive : Also known as intellectual blockages arise at the inability of solving a problem in a peculiar way by bringing together the most common responses, logical or simple give us fewer headaches.
  • Emotional : those resulting from prejudice, insecurity, worthlessness, fear of misunderstanding (moral or intellectual), etc.. In short, those related to the psychology of the subject.
  • Cultural : delve into the social perspective of the individual preconditions for society in terms of the norm. Architects of these locks are the stereotypes of age, sex (which is "right" to make a woman or a man), inhibitory pressure group, etc.
If at any time these blocks make an appearance in your creative work do not despair rest despejaos, persist, creativity is not reserved only for geniuses and geniuses also feel fear.

Since 1410 the astronomical clock in Prague has remained standing like motionless witness of time and its consequences in the central plaza of Old Town. So, for those who're reading this and now feel curiosity for even a glimpse of a glimpse of that show, I will tell you're in luck, because you will have the opportunity to see it all, courtesy of those who have been kind enough to upload the video of the event and broadcast it, something most certainly welcome and many appreciate.

Used Snowmobile Salvage Parts Yards In Wi

A story between silhouettes and steam: Jasper Morello

A strange and daunting disease lurks in the shadows and confusion to citizens of the steamy city of Gothia. In the chaos the troubled air navigator Jasper Morello, decides to embark on an expedition that will attempt to draw an alternative travel route, despite the guilt that haunts him and says as primarily responsible for the death of a crewman on a previous trip. Must then venture among the misty landscapes that are lost in the horizon, regain confidence and exorcise his demons, the couple trying to find a cure for the disease grotesque, thanks to the presence on the eccentric Claude Belgon biologist.

With this premise starts the short film The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello ( The mysterious geographic explorations of Jasper Morello ), nominated for Oscars in the category of Best Animated Short in 2005. Directed by Anthony Australians Lucas, the film is notable mainly for its distinctive animation style, mixing typical silhouettes of shadow theater with three-dimensional effects are more typical of modern animation, resulting in a hybrid rarely seen.

The story takes place during an unknown period * in which humanity has developed the motor skills to the absolute limits of steam, making a clear aesthetic Steampunk (subgenre of science fiction that is the recreation of a world, usually set in Victorian England, which relies completely with the steam technology).

Making a deeper analysis of the film can feel reminiscent of the famous writer and master of horror, Edgar Allan Poe and his Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym , which also revolves around a crew surrendered to mercy, in this case, a sea ruthless. The essence of the work is shaped in large part because of parallels with it, and by the dark atmosphere that surrounds the story. In general one could say that is a story of a journey in the style of Jules Verne, which ends deep into the darkness of Poe's macabre.

Finally, just add that the film is the beginning of a series of four episodes not yet released, at least as far as I know. I failed to find much information about the remaining chapters, so I have not clear whether their production was canceled or not (although I would say that the project goes ahead). If someone calls attention to the type of animation you may want to seek employee The Adventures of Prince Achmed (1926) of Germany's Lotte Reineger, the animated feature oldest preserved, encouraged also by silhouettes.

Nothing more, enjoy the movie.

Ready Made Curtains Calgary

That is what I am now for many who come to read this first entry, which I hope does not last too long time. Some may wonder why the birth of this space called Fragments of an entropic mind. Well, the answer is simple: long ago that the idea of \u200b\u200bcreating a blog I roamed the rugged roads of my head, however, so many branches that make my interest (as I suppose many also happens) that idea of \u200b\u200ba blog network eventually vanish in the infinity which is the human mind ... until recently.

With the start of classes Creativity methods we proposed to the students to create a blog to write about creativity and its different aspects. As I have not yet made clear exactly what horizon guide you, you may not have homogeneity among the subjects in the days ahead will try, although they agree on their nature creative and fanciful.

made this short introduction and a first contribution I leave an animation that revolves around the writer Howard Phillips Lovecraft nortemaericano and his literary work, often compared to the world of dreams by the number of dream images to immerse the human psyche in the depths of the areas of Morpheus. Dreams are sometimes the ultimate expression of creativity of a person and therefore a great source of inspiration. The literary work of this writer is a clear example, since much of the visions in his narrative offers nights are terribly fruitful result.

On the video, people will not understand, is why I recommend the reading of the writer before viewing, but not really necessary, since the main property of the film is its own ethereal nature of dreams, sometimes even in our own we can decipher. Also, the animation may not reach the level of other more professional, but it works just as well be precisely , its simplicity that makes this truly special creation. Without further ado

dismissal and again I encourage you to read Lovecraft, not for the video, but I am sure that more than one would open the door to a world frighteningly new.

I often wonder if most of humanity
ever stopped to think about the enormous importance
sometimes have dreams, and the dark world that belong.
